I hope I can say hello to you this November in my own way, you know my style, right? Let’s think about the meaning of this Thanksgiving day with my favorite Thanksgiving quotes.
Once upon a time, in the 16th or 17th century, a group of people had to leave their hometown to protect their own way of life. They left England and came to the Americas to find a new land to start a new life.
After a journey full of hardships, their ship arrived to Plymouth in winter. They had spent the ferocious winter, some of them couldn’t overcome it and passed away, but finally, the winter ended and most of the group survived.
When spring came, they started to build their life. Nowadays, we call them The Pilgrims.
This story I just told you sounds like a fairy tale, but it is not. It is a true story. The Pilgrims could have the new life they wished for because they received help from Indians.
Indians gave them foods, taught them how to grow crops, how to survive in the new land. As a sign of gratitude, the Pilgrims held a small party to thank God and Indians for their new life. That is the origin of Thanksgiving Day.

Nowadays, we often think that everything we have is always here we take everything for granted. This makes me feel uneasy and sad a bit.
When we get mad, when something doesn’t work out as we expected, we forget to smile when seeing a flower, when hearing the voice of a bird. We forget that we are luckier than most of the people who can’t see, can’t hear, can’t live.
Saying Thanks is not difficult. Now, let’s put your hand to your heart, say thanks to your life, your parents, to God for everything you have.
Then stand up and say your thanks by actions, do something good for this world and trust me, it will make you happy. Happy Thanksgiving Day with our Thanksgiving quotes collection!
